1. In what part of Mexico will I be hunting?
We cross the border into mexico about 26 miles north of Laredo Texas.
2. How far into Mexico do we travel?
After we cross the border into Mexico, we go approx. 10 miles to the ranch gate by way of a good paved road, then another 5 miles to the ranch head-quarters.
3. Will I be picked up at Laredo?
You can fly directly to the Laredo, TX airport. If you choose to drive, the airport offers FREE extended stay parking. We will pick up and return you to the airport.
4. Do I need a passport?
Yes, you will need a passport to get back in the U.S.
5. Will I need a hunting license?
Your hunting license is included in the price of your deer hunt.
6. How is the lodging?
The lodging is okay -- we stay in older, small cinder block houses with metal roofing. They are warm, dry and comfortable.
7. Are there showers?
Yes, we have 2 showers and hot and cold water and a 2 private toilets.
8. Will I need to bring sleeping items?
No, we have sleeping bags, pillows, and towels. All you need is your bow and your clothes and your passport!
9. How many hunters are in camp at one time?
Usually 5 to 6 hunters are in camp at a time, plus guides.
10. How big is the ranch?
We have access to over 14,000 acres of private ranch land.
11. When is the hunting season?
The season usually starts around Dec. 1st and runs until the end of Jan.
12. What are my chances of taking a deer with my bow?
The other guides and myself are true seasoned bow hunters. We haven't hunted with a gun in over 25 years. We believe your odds are going to be in the 99% range on shot opportunities and that is hard to beat anywhere.
13. Will I see bucks everyday?
You should see no less than 3-10 bucks every time you sit in a stand and most will be under 35 yards.
14. How many days will I hunt?
All of our hunts are for 5 full days except for the Javelina hunts which are for 3 full days.
